Blood bowl piling on
It depends on the positional if that player is or the role they will have in your team. If you only have block and roll a double, dodge makes more sense. If you are lucky enough to roll a double on most killers taking Jump UP is a valuable skill if you have some core killing skills already: Block, MB, Claw. The Holy Grail of ClawPOMB is better by adding in Jump Up and Tackle. TL/DR: JumpUp is like a free 2nd Blitz when used correctly on a killer. So the skills harmonize well, but it is an expensive combination, and for many players you would need to spend a Double for the Jump Up, which isn't necessarily worth it (unless the player is super evolved). It becomes a good skill when you willingly put your pieces on the ground to hurt the opposition though. Since you don't want your players to get hit, Jump Up on its own isn't very good. Jump up is a valuable skill for players that spend a lot of time prone.

a Piling on player on the ground can only move so far, so your opponent can play around him, if he is not keen on fouling him to death.

If the player has Jump Up, you can a) move your full number of MA squares, and b) even make a Block on a 2+ if an opponent is still next to you (for example the opposing player that you piled on, but sadly didn't hurt, got up and is standing there now).īasically it comes down to being a threat the turn after using pile on. Without Jump up, your player is much less of a threat the next turn, as he moves 3 squares less and cannot block, only Blitz.

If you use pile on, your guy is on the floor, next to an opposing player (who is also at least prone).
